We carry low-profile, high-capacity, 4-in-1 (multi-purpose), skeleton/rock, snow & mulch, grapple, and tooth buckets. All use the universal SSL quick-attach and fit Bobcat, Kubota, John Deere, Case, Caterpillar, and most other brands.
What’s the difference between low-profile and high-capacity buckets?
Low-profile buckets offer the best visibility and breakout force for daily digging and grading. High-capacity (or dirt) buckets have taller sides and deeper profiles to carry 20–40 % more material—ideal for loose dirt, mulch, or snow when volume matters more than visibility.
How wide should my skid steer bucket be?
Match width to your machine’s rated operating capacity:
• Mini skid steers (1,200–2,000 lb ROC): 54″–60″
• Mid-size (2,000–3,000 lb ROC): 66″–78″
• Large frame (3,000+ lb ROC): 78″–96″
Wider buckets move more material per pass but reduce breakout force and stability if oversized.
What cutting-edge options are available?
Bolt-on reversible double-bevel (standard on most)
Weld-on single-bevel
Serrated edges for frozen ground
Tooth bars or bolt-on teeth for digging hard soil
All edges are 1045 or 1080 high-carbon steel for long wear life.
Can I add a tooth bar or bolt-on edge to my existing bucket?
Yes—most buckets accept universal bolt-on tooth bars or cutting edges. We stock kits for 60″–84″ widths that install in minutes, complete with included Grade-8 hardware.
What is a 4-in-1 (multi-purpose) bucket used for?
A 4-in-1 bucket functions as a standard bucket, dozer blade, grapple, and scraper. Hydraulic clamshell jaws let you grab logs, push dirt, back-drag, or dump from the cab—making it one of the most versatile attachments you can own.
How do I maintain my skid steer bucket?
Inspect the cutting edge and side wear plates daily, flip or replace the bolt-on edge when worn halfway, grease hinge points on 4-in-1 buckets, and touch up paint to prevent rust. Store indoors when possible to extend life.
