The Promac HSM Series Heavy Duty Skid Steer mulcher is contractor-rated and designed for operators who prise durability, productivity, and flexibility. This attachment works in all conditions and terrains.
Assembled from the best available materials, featuring replaceable parts, providing customers peace of mind using a durable, intuitive piece of equipment.
Compatible with skid steers with high flow rates of 95-120 horsepower and hydraulic flow of 35 to 45 GPM @ 5000 PSI. 60-inch drum (wide) and 72 inches in diameter, with three types of cutting teeth. For class-leading productivity, the drum is powered with a Promac Automatic Torque Control (ATC), a hydraulic variable torque piston motor with bent-axis piston drive. High-strength steel is used strategically in high-wear locations to keep parts sturdy for years.
Promac's cutting-edge, superb-quality skid steer-mounted mulching attachments are built in British Columbia, Canada, by our full-service manufacturing plant and shipped internationally. We have the equipment to help you complete your job quickly without compromising quality or safety. Promac has the tools and technology to keep your equipment in good condition for jobs large and small and for many years to come.
The CPR helps you only bite off what you can chew, regulating discharge particle size. Easily replaceable, hardened steel wire cutters come included in the drum. These prevent the wire from wrapping around the drum's drive shaft and damaging bearing seals. The CPR holders and plates in the drum are made from high-strength steel to withstand impacts and are built to last. You get consistent mulch output in one pass while keeping production steady.
Various tooling options are available for the drum tailored to fit your budget, performance requirements, and ground conditions. Promac's unique reversible knives, "chipper teeth," double carbides, and the standard beaver tooth are all available.
Promac combines the variable torque bent-axis motor and the Promac Automatic Torque Control (ATC), an innovation that continually matches motor displacement with hydraulic power to maintain drum speeds.
High-strength steel is combined with full-strength welding for strength. The boxed-in ends have a machining area that houses bearing plates. This increases rigidity and durability and results in a longer bearing life.
Promac designs take into consideration machines operating in extreme environments where ordinary mild steel won't hold up long-term. AR400 is an abrasion-resistant steel used in high-stress areas. It also has replaceable components, which ensures long life and easy maintenance. The wear liner and the bolt-in skid shoes are all replaceable.
The HSM60 can have tooling tailored to your job and end product. Our standard chipper teeth can be easily rearranged, sharpened, and replaced. Double carbides are recommended for extreme conditions. For the majority of work conditions, beaver teeth are a great choice.
When working in close proximity to buildings or the public, it is essential to control the discharge. When the machine is at its lowest level, the front discharge trajectory is within 5 feet. This compares to 20-50 feet for other open-face mulcher models.
Safety-focused operators have the option of a hydraulic drum brake. To protect workers and operators, the brake can quickly bring the drum to an abrupt halt.
