Bull Hog Standard Flow Mulching Head

The Fecon Bull Hog is a standard flow forestry mulcher built for skid steers running 17-30 gpm, and it clears brush, small trees, and stumps to ground level. It handles trees up to 5 inches in diameter, so you can work through overgrowth quickly and with control.


It's a practical fit for forestry work, land management, and right-of-way maintenance. Available in 50" and 60" working widths, both rated to 75 HP. If your machine is high flow, the Fecon High Flow Mulcher is the head you want instead.

Tough Build: 100 ksi High-Strength Steel Frame

The Fecon Bull Hog standard flow frame is built from 100 ksi high-strength steel, rated at a tensile strength of 100,000 pounds per square inch. That strength-to-weight ratio lets the frame carry heavy loads and absorb impact without deforming, so the mulcher holds
its structural integrity through demanding land-clearing work.


The Motor: Variable Displacement 45cc Hydraulic

A variable displacement 45cc hydraulic motor adjusts its fluid displacement to match demand, so the head delivers the right power for the job in front of it — high torque at low speed when you're pushing through heavy material, higher speed at lower torque when you're not. That range keeps it efficient across different cutting conditions.

What size skid steer do I need to run this mulcher?

Match the machine to the head's flow and weight, not just horsepower. Both models need 17-30 gpm at up to 4,000 psi and are rated to 75 HP. The 50" RK5015 weighs
1,370 lbs and the 61" RK6015 weighs 1,465 lbs, so your skid steer needs the rated operating capacity to carry that at full reach. Call us if you're unsure.

Will a skid steer mulcher grind stumps?

It grinds stumps down to ground level rather than removing them below grade. The Bull Hog mulches standing brush, trees up to 5 inches in diameter, and stumps
flush with the soil. If you need the root ball or a below-grade stump taken out, that's a job for a dedicated stump grinder, not a mulching head.

What's the difference between the standard flow and high flow Fecon mulcher?

Flow range. The standard flow Bull Hog runs on 17-30 gpm, so it fits the hydraulics most skid steers already have. A high flow head requires a high flow machine and
moves material faster in heavier, continuous clearing. If your skid steer is standard flow, this is the head that fits — no hydraulic upgrade required.

Do I need a case drain to run the Fecon Bull Hog?

Yes, a case drain is required to protect your carrier machine's hydraulic system. The motor returns internal leakage through the case drain line rather than back
through the pressure circuit, and without it that pressure can damage the motor seals and your machine's hydraulics. Most skid steers have a case drain port — check
yours before ordering.
