A skid steer 3 point adapter connects a three-point hitch to your loader's quick-attach plate, letting you run Category 1 and Category 2 tractor implements — box blades, tillers, post-hole diggers, seeders — without owning a tractor. Skid Steers Direct carries adapters from Blue Diamond, Berlon, Haugen, and Top Dog, plus a 3-point trailer hitch and a box blade scraper that mount the same way. Match the category to the implements you own: Category 1 covers roughly 20-45 horsepower implements, Category 2 covers 40-100, and the pin sizes differ. An adapter handles the hitch only — PTO-driven implements need a separate skid steer PTO attachment.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is a skid steer 3 point adapter?
It's an attachment that mounts to your skid steer's universal quick-attach plate and presents a standard three-point hitch on the other side. That lets you run tractor
implements — box blades, tillers, post-hole diggers, seeders — directly off the loader. It's the practical alternative to buying a tractor when you already own a skid
steer and need tractor-style tooling.
What size 3 point adapter do I need?
Match the adapter category to the implements you plan to run. Category 1 fits implements in roughly the 20 to 45 horsepower range, and Category 2 covers about 40 to 100. The two use different pin diameters and different spacing between the lower links, so they are not interchangeable. Check the category stamped on or listed for your existing implements before ordering.
Can I run PTO implements with a 3 point adapter?
Not with the adapter alone. A 3-point adapter handles the hitch connection and gives you lift, but it transmits no rotational power. PTO-driven implements such as
rotary tillers, flail mowers, and post-hole diggers also need a separate skid steer PTO attachment to supply that power. Implements that don't need PTO, like box
blades and scrapers, work with the adapter on its own.
Will a 3 point adapter fit my skid steer?
Adapters mount to the universal quick-attach plate found on virtually all full-size skid steer loaders, so brand compatibility is rarely a concern. The limit is lift capacity
rather than fit. Your machine has to handle the combined weight of the adapter, the implement, and any material it carries, at full extension. Contact us with your
model if you'd like that checked.
Can I use a 3 point adapter on a mini skid steer?
Generally no. These adapters are built for the full-size universal quick-attach plate, and mini skid steers use a smaller mount standard with substantially lower lift
capacity. Even where a mount could be adapted, most Category 1 implements are too heavy for a mini machine to handle safely at reach. Tell us what you're running
and we'll suggest a workable alternative.

Works Awesome!
I got one and with a loader hitch conversion I use it on my John Deere tractor. It works amazing! So far I am super happy with it! Thanks for the product and the free shipping.
Well built and very good purchase. It beats mulching on trails or even clearing property to ready to build sites. No stumps to deal with or mess to clean up. I have worked over 60 hours with one and made several miles of trail for riding horses on . With in a few months they look like they have been there for years. I’ve cleaned up fence line covered with pines and no mess left behind. If you want a cleared clean finish job it is the way to go. I pull everything out by the roots and burn it or mulch the pile when I’m done. Attached are a few pictures of what I’ve pulled up with ease.

Strong Post Driver
At this point I have tested the Driver. I drove 4- 5" post. The post were blunt and drove in the ground with out any issues. I have a Liu Gong 9057 ZTS mini Excavator. 20 GPM flow. I have a job coming up with around 100 fence post that need to be drove into the ground. Rolling hills and valleys on this terrain. This should be a good test. I will send the Montana folks a few pics of this job. At this point I do recommend the driver. Stay tuned for more info....
