Skid Steer Attachments Overview

Do Skid Attachments Require Electrical Connections?

Many skid steer attachments will have electrically actuated and hydraulically operated components. For example, the folding wings on a Skeer Grading Blade work by the operator selecting an electrical switch that directs hydraulic valves to fold or unfold the wings.

If the skid steer attachment that you want requires electrical controls, it is easiest if your skid steer has an external electrical harness built in. External electrical harnesses vary by manufacturer, so it may be best to contact us for support before ordering.

Suppose your skid steer does not have an external electrical harness. In that case, we can often set you up with a controller that plugs into your 12volt charger or directly onto your battery and provides all the required switches and electrical harnesses so that you can operate electrical skid steer attachments.

Keep Yourself Safe When Using Skid Steer Loader Attachments

We often hear stories from our customers about breaking the glass door on their skid loader the first time they use forestry attachments, brush cutter and post drivers. This is usually because the glass door on the skid loader was only partially considered when the attachment was purchased. When looking at skid loader attachments for sale be sure to research it completely and/or contact a customer support agent to confirm its compatibility and safe use.

For attachments that tend to throw rocks and tree limbs, such as heavy-duty mulchers and stump grinders, we usually recommend you purchase a 1/2" polycarbonate window to ensure the safety of the skid steer operator.

Polycarbonate is 260x stronger than glass, approximately half the weight and isn't prone to shattering. This is a must-have item for all forestry-related attachments.

Additionally, most attachments for skid steer loaders will come with a user manual that you should review before hooking up your attachment for the first time. All safety decals should be installed in the appropriate locations, and safety chains should be used when the manufacturer requires them.

How Does Shipping Work In The USA?

When you order an attachment from us, we take care of all the shipping details. We will plan, arrange and even pay for all shipping charges related to your order.

Most attachments are shipped as a "Less Than Truck Load" (LTL) shipment, and transit times in the United States can be anywhere from 2 to 10 days. We will send you your tracking information once it becomes available so that you can stay informed on progress.

For residential deliveries, once your attachment arrives in your home town, the freight carrier will reach out to you to schedule a final delivery appointment. Shipments going to commercial customers can expect the attachment to be delivered during regular business hours.

If you do not have unloading equipment available at your delivery site, please let us know, and we will arrange to deliver your attachment on a truck with a lift gate. This will lower the attachment to the ground. Some size and weight limitations may apply.

Once you have the attachment in your possession, the driver will ask you to sign a "proof of delivery". This will indicate that you received the attachment and that the carrier did not damage it in transit.

What if I Need Support After I Purchase A Skid Steer Accessory?

When you order a quality attachment from a reputable dealer, you will be in good hands before and after your purchase.

Our attachments offer better materials and workmanship, and often replacement parts are easier to find. High-quality attachments are often backed by comprehensive warranties that overseas attachments won't provide.

It's not uncommon for customers to have a "warming up" period where they are getting accustomed to their new attachment, and we are always happy to provide support for as long as you own it.

Can I Finance New Skid Steer Attachments?

Whether you are starting up a new construction company, buying attachments for an established company or even just looking to buy your first skid steer, we can help with skid steer attachment financing.

We have partnered with CIT Bank and offer many of our customer's competitive loans. Not only will you enjoy freeing up cash flow, but often our customers only have to make payments once they receive their attachment!

Loans taken out through our financing partners can be used to purchase additional equipment from other retailers. Many customers will use our loans to purchase skid steers, excavators, trailers, and trucks to support their business.

Are You A Municipality or Large Business Buying Attachments?

We understand the needs of our customers who purchase equipment for large corporations, government contracts and municipalities.

We aim to make the buying process as smooth and seamless as possible.

What Is The Warranty On My New Attachment?

Manufacturers that produce high-quality attachments will always back their products with industry-leading warranties. Because we only sell the highest quality attachments, you can be sure you are covered.

Most manufacturers will cover you for one year from the purchase date. Individual items such as cutting edges, and hydraulic cylinders and piston motors may have different warranty periods.

Most warranty parts can be shipped out next-day air, but this can vary on availability.

Can I Ship My Attachment Outside of the US?

We can easily accommodate international customers. For international customers, we will ship your attachment to the freight forwarder of your choice for free. If additional crating or special instructions are required, we are happy to accommodate.

We want to make your shopping experience as simple as possible.
